Any of this work requires you to turn off your circuit breaker or breakers.

When you have a light fixture that needs replacing the first thing you need to do is remove the elements. (The light bulb) This requires two persons. Use a voltage meter to check and make sure there is not power to the black wire, which is normally your HOT wire.

If you have a Florescent Light and it is not working properly checks the starter first. That is a little element behind the light tubes.

1. Open the cover and remove the tubes very carefully as not to hit it on anything because you can serious injured if that was to explodes in your face.

2. Then, you remove the screws that mount the fixture (being very caution that it do not fall)

3.You have three wires one is the HOT one is the Negative and the other is the ground.

4. Untwist the wire caps again check to ensure there is no voltage to the wires.

5.It is best to tag them again black being the hot (if you do not have two switches controlling the same light.)

6. Once you are sure there is no voltage to the wires, untwist the wire and remove the fixture.

7.Place the new fixture in place.

8.Wire the fixture up in the reverse order that you unwire it.
